Pinelle and pinelli,
Today I’m here to talk to you about a project that Marks&Angels is working on to support: the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation.
Cystic fibrosis is a serious illness that strikes 200 people a year in Italy alone and unfortunately there is not yet a definitive cure. It’s a genetic disease that attacks many of the organs in the body, especially the lungs and pancreas.
To support this cause, Laura Angelilli and I have decided to create a limited edition of our Lucy Bag.
The bag is on sale from the beginning of this month and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the genetics section of the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Research Non-Profit Foundation.
The statement bag in support of the Italian Cystic Fibrosis foundation, as I mentioned above, will be the Lucy Bag, in an updated fun and colourful version… a symbol of the future that we wish and above all imagine for the cystic fibrosis patients. It has been made with a canvas and natural linen base with a leather fringe, ribbon trimmings, coloured bells and tropical mood patches.
It’s a bag for life, with an infectious vitality and will be sold on our Marks&Angels online store and in selected top stores.
I will leave you with the photos of the Lucy Bag worn by an exceptional little girl suffering from this terrible disease… She’s called Chiara, and I truly admire her smile and determination to tackle this ongoing fight!
A big hug to all my pinelle!
