Dear pinelle, today we’ll find out more about the Falconeri world. You’ll come with me to the factory where clothes are made. It is in Avio, a small town but full of history and typical products. Famous for the production of wines like Pinot grigio and Chardonnay and delicious cheeses. There’s a lot of Italy in this small town. And the Falconeri factory had to be here.

I visited the plant with the whole staff to understand how a collection is created and developed. Starting from the style office, here Giulia Sartini and PierAngelo Fenzi and their crew design the clothes, starting from inspirations that came from the surrounding areas, colors, ideas. Then they design the models, ready to go to the labs to became prototypes.

We then went to the production lab, and there I saw a whole new world, incredible machines, programmed by experts who creates knitwear. But not only machines, many people with love and patience sewing the pieces to create the final product. They are all very young, and they explained to me that the company does a lot of training courses to hire competent people in their production cycle.

I also went to the quality lab, where everything is tested… they do a lot of stuff to understand how resistant the fabric is when it comes to wash it, using it, rubbing nad whatever it could happen… truly incredible.
