Ciao Pinelle!
I don’t want to talk just about my outfit today, but also about a very special initiative, which comes in perfect timing with the World Cup held in Brazil that everyone is watching.
Amazonlife and WWF together have created a Capsule Collection of eco-bags dedicated to the “Save the Amazon Rainforest” project! A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to WWF to combat the illegal logging of the forest and to sustain the activities of its diverse indigenous peoples.
The shopping bag that you see in this look is of course one of the bags from the Amazonlife collection, and it is made from canvas with finishings in natural rubber, a unique material based on a natural latex extracted from the native rubber trees of the Amazon Rainforest. This line is proof that it is possible to extract from nature, in perfect harmony with it, resources and materials (cotton, linen, jute, coconut, straw etc…) that can be produced into objects and accessories. The whole collection was made using natural and recycled materials and resources. But going back to the whole look… in addition to the bag I chose a long romantic blue toned skirt from Dondup with a subtle colourful floral pattern on it. I combined it with an American Vintage antique blue perforated cotton jumper and a fluorescent orange Stellina Fabbri necklace to contrast. To finish it off I chose some dark leather sandals with metal chain details and a coloured thread from Jane&Janet. They are really comfortable and perfect to take on holiday!
Even if recently the rain won’t seem to stop, I decided to put on a pair of Stella McCartney sunglasses hoping for the sun to come out!!!!
Hugs to you all Pinelle!!
